Meeting Menopause Day Retreat is created for women ready to move through menopause with strength, clarity, and connection.

This is a space to pause. To exhale. To be with your changing body instead of fighting it.

Through gentle movement, grounding practices, guided reflection, and supportive conversation, we’ll explore menopause not as an ending — but as a powerful transition. Together we’ll unpack the physical shifts (sleep changes, hot flashes, mood swings, brain fog) and tend to the emotional landscape that often goes unspoken.

Expect:

  • Restorative movement and optional free-form dance
  • Deep relaxation including sound immersion
  • Practical tools for nervous system regulation
  • Honest, judgment-free discussion
  • Space for reflection and integration

Whether you’re in perimenopause, post-menopause, or somewhere in between, Meeting Menopause offers community, knowledge, and embodied support.

Come as you are. Leave feeling steadier, informed, and more at home in yourself.

Please note that all activities have been planned for all levels of fitness but are not compulsory. We understand that the day is packed and you may prefer to take time to enjoy the weather and indulge in the calming grounds of Fickle Fields, meeting the group and the activities in your own time.

What to expect:

1.      Meeting Menopause with Information – Talk and Sharing Circle

Menopause is a natural transition — yet many women enter it with little accurate information. Understanding what is happening hormonally, physically, and emotionally can transform fear into confidence. When women are informed, they are better able to advocate for their health, make empowered decisions about treatment and lifestyle, and respond to symptoms with clarity rather than alarm. Knowledge restores agency. It replaces silence with understanding and allows menopause to be met not as a crisis, but as a powerful and informed new chapter.

This day retreat starts with a talk on Stages of Menopause and How to Manage Common Symptoms by Liana who is a seasoned Yoga Teacher, Menopause Health Coach, Conscious Dance and Meditation Facilitator, and Reiki Therapist. Handouts will be given, but feel free to bring pen and paper to take notes. Liana will also hold space for a sharing circle which is a valuable time to learn from each other and bond as women supporting women through this challenging time.

2.      Meeting Menopause with Strength

Kickstart the day with a HIIT Yoga practice which uses the High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) framework with traditional yoga movements. Instead of holding slow, steady poses, HIIT Yoga alternates between short bursts of high intensity poses or flows (walking squats, plank drills, boat variations) and brief recovery periods. This practice builds strength, improves cardiovascular fitness, burns more calories than traditional yoga, maintains flexibility and mobility and is time-efficient full-body workout.

3.      Meeting Menopause with Nourishing Food

Good food is a cornerstone of wellbeing through menopause. As hormones shift, the body’s needs change — affecting bones, heart health, metabolism, mood, and sleep. Eating in a way that supports stable blood sugar, muscle strength, and long-term vitality can ease symptoms and protect future health. Rather than restriction, this stage of life calls for deeper nourishment — food that stabilises, strengthens, and sustains you through this powerful transition.

This is why you will have the chance to eat nourishing food by @prepped.with.love. We carefully thought about each ingredient being provided, so this will be a time of food for thought and food to be savoured!

Dietary needs will be catered for.

4.      Meeting Menopause with Clarity: Your Yin Yoga Practice

Yin Yoga is a slow practice that calms the nervous system, soothes hot flashes, and nourishes your body’s connective tissue. Beyond the physical benefits, Yin creates space for emotional processing and self-reflection, helping women meet this transition with patience, presence, and ease. It’s a practice that mirrors the care our bodies and minds need during this life stage.

Attention to breathwork enhances this indulging experience as focus will be given to awaken the meridian channels that weave through Kidneys and Bladder, as well as Heart and Intestines. Your body and mind will thank-you and will feel nourished to your bones.

5.      Meeting Menopause with Freedom: Your Flow Dance Meditation

Flow Dance Meditation offers a joyful, freeing way to navigate menopause. By combining mindful movement, rhythm, and self-expression, it calms the nervous system, eases stress and supports emotional release. It strengthens the body, improves balance, and reconnects women with their energy and sensuality. More than exercise, it’s a practice of presence and empowerment — helping women move through this transition with confidence, joy, and ease.

Dancing with headphones helps you immerse fully in this experience. The specially curated music provides a rhythmic anchor for your movement or stillness, and you’ll be invited to explore further your own body, in your flow through the grounding energy of Fickle Field.

6.      Meeting Menopause with Courage: Your Cold Plunge

Ice baths provide a powerful, restorative way to support women through menopause. This practice calms the nervous system, boosts circulation, and can reduce the intensity of hot flashes. It elevates mood, sharpens mental clarity, and cultivates resilience, while encouraging deep presence and body awareness. Cold plunges help women meet this transition with strength, empowerment, and renewed energy.

This experience is not compulsory. Guidance and support will be available.

Changing room is available for those willing to take the plunge: pun intended!

7.      Meeting Menopause with Peace: Your Sound Bath

Sound baths offer a gentle, restorative way to support women through menopause. The resonant tones of percussion musical instruments calm the nervous system, ease stress, and promote emotional balance. They can improve sleep, reduce tension, and create space for reflection and self-care. By tuning into sound, women reconnect with their bodies, find grounding, and move through this transition with greater ease and presence.

This Sound Bath will be delivered in the cosy yurt, which is also our sacred space for our closing circle.
