Spring Blossoms Day Retreat
The Spring Blossoms Day Retreat at Bridge Farm will allow yourself to be in full contact with nature, planting the seeds literally and emotionally so you feel the pulse of life. It will remind you of the intentions you perhaps set in the beginning of 2026, helping you trace back some steps, so you carry on evolving and growing to your fullest potential.
What to expect:
Gardening subtly regulates the nervous system as you’re guided through mindful, hands-in-the-soil activities like planting seeds or tending flower beds. The emphasis isn’t productivity but presence: noticing textures, scents, and the quiet satisfaction of caring for living things. Gentle effort, and time outdoors grounds you because it reminds your body of what it already knows—how to be present, patient, and connected to something real and alive.
Yoga–Qigong Fusion is a beautiful and powerful combination of two ancient mind–body disciplines: Yoga, which originated in India, and Qigong, which comes from China. Both cultivate life energy (called prana in yoga and qi in qigong) through movement, breath, and awareness — but they emphasize different qualities that complement each other perfectly.
Flow Dance Meditation with headphones is a practice that combines elements of free-form dance, meditation, and flow state psychology. It’s designed to help you enter a state of presence, release tension, and connect more deeply with your body and emotions through spontaneous movement. Using headphones helps you immerse fully in this experience, and the specially curated music provides a rhythmic anchor for your movement or stillness. The playlist instigates curiosity and you’ll be invited to explore further natural elements within the blossoming grounds of the farm.
Morning meditation and journalling to bring clarity on the seeds you’ll be planting for the remainder of the seasons this year. If you set intentions in the beginning of 2026, this will be a time to reflect on steps already taken, but also time to refine actions or set new intentions.
From Bridge Farm we will walk to the River Chelmer to breathe in fresh air, be amongst trees, and notice Spring in full blossom. This walk is planned to calm your nervous system and reduce anxiety and tension; a time to appreciate the beauty and tranquillity of the Essex countryside.
In tune with the seasonal wisdom found in both yoga’s Ayurveda and qigong’s Five Elements theory, a nourishing lunch and refreshments will be provided so you replenish prana and harmonize qi. Our goal is to sustain your energy without heaviness, so digestion stays smooth and vitality remains high.
Please bring your own Yoga mat, a blanket and a pillow if you use these for relaxation, but all other equipment needed will be provided. Reach out if you have any questions.
Also be aware that most activities will be held outside in the marquee, around the fire pit and the kitchen garden. So please dress in layers and clothing that might get dirty due to gardening and walking. The farmhouse will be used for lunch and refreshments.
